The American West is my landscape. Arid, empty, mineral, wide open. And the best thing is - one can get to most places in a rental car. The eroded stone formations around the Grand Canyon and Utah in their beiges and reds are highly dramatic, cactuses and yuccas are the perfect natural inhabitants. I have always had a preference for wide-open spaces, where the horizon is far away and the sky huge. And, as in manmade environments, I love the strange and unusual. This is why there are few images of green rolling hills and forests.
