The inclination to photograph flowers tends to increase with age. Maybe it is the beauty of the bright colours that reminds people of youth. Maybe it is the lack of having any other photographic subject at hand. In any case, many flowers have short life cycles and grow quickly from young buds to seed production. So eventually even I started to take pictures of them, usually, besides my own garden, in public parks or in friends' gardens. And why not: flowers are the antithesis to all the crap in the world and they don't move - except if there is bloody wind.
