India was too much for me. Too much of people, vehicles, smog, dirt, beggars, cows. And religion. I wasn't in the mental frame for it and cut my trip short. For a photographer of cause it is undeniably rewarding. I travelled from Delhi to Chandigarh to see Le Corbusier's imposing but now rather delapidated buildings, followed by Amritsar and the Golden Temple, an oasis of beauty and calm. Dharamsala, home of the Dalai Lama, and a trip in the foothills of the Himalaya was next. Later I ventured into Rajasthan, but left it with that. Travelling alone is difficult.
