Artefacts, old and new, natural or manmade, and their shape, surface, colour or position often intrigue me. I try to portray them by isolating them visually from their environment, so that the interplay between the object and its surroundings adds some extra dimension. This is the colour version, more is in the B&W section. Where in a monochrome image the shape and texture of the object are most important, in a chromatic one the colours should carry the information. I am a designer by trade, maybe the affinity to strong shapes and compositions is a testimony to that.
