What is reality? A photo of an object is not the object, but a two-dimensional picture. But it represents the object visually, we can recognize it. A picture of an object, maybe at night with longer exposure, where the camera has been moved quickly, is still a visual representation of the object, but it may not be recognizable any more. In the end one creates a visual shape out of light rays, one creates something completely virtual. This virtual object can have the appearance of something three-dimentional, something solid or otherwise substantial. It is make-belief.
