I am not a tripod man. But it made sense to buy one, so that producing indoor pictures with long exposures would become possible. I then had the idea to pick up fallen leafs and flowers in the park and photograph them on the table. The equipment was primitive: a cheap table lamp and a torch, regulating the amount of natural light coming through the window with the curtains. It did the job - I love using low tech! For months I couldn't be stopped, tried out lots of variations. It was studio work in miniature. Over 600 worked-out images resulted out of this.
